“Very surprised and glad to know our shoes have been sent to the volunteers already.” On March 25^th, a pickup van carrying a batch of comfortable casual shoes arrived at Primary School of Futian Shangsha at 11:00am in the morning. These shoes were donated by Belle Fashion Group and handed to volunteer representative by Litao Zeng, the General Manager of South China under footwear division, and Yi Liu, the Executive Deputy General Manager of the Group.

“Thanks to Belle Fashion Group and Shenzhen Project Care Foundation, our volunteers can finally change their worn-out shoes, and we feel so grateful for this love donation.”Lifen Ye , who volunteered at the front line of the battle against the epidemic expressed her appreciation of this love donation.

This love event “Salute the most beautiful fighters at the front-line” was jointly organized by Shenzhen Special Economic Zone Press (“SZSEZP”) and Shenzhen Project Care Foundation (“SZPCF”).

The story of this donation started from March 20^th. The reporter from SZPCF heard from Lifen Ye that there are more than 100 front-line staffs in Shangsha lacking of personal daily necessities due to their emergency tasks received in March 1^st . Working for consecutive 20 days in the front-line without respite, many of them worn out their shoes. After reporting to SZSEZP, SZPCF expected to encourage Shenzhen local corporates to join the battle against the epidemic, empowered by “Media plus Public Welfare”.

“It’s heartbreaking to know that front-line staffs are lacking of comfortable shoes to wear”. Huangjing, the Deputy Secretary General of Shenzhen Retail Business Association (“SZRBA”), immediately reached SZRBA member Belle Fashion Group while learning front-line staffs’ urgent needs of shoes. After Belle Fashion Group expressing their strong willing to make donation for front-line staffs, Huangjing took a deep breath and felt relieved to devote efforts to fight the epidemic.

“Unlike standard products such as masks, shoes are more about different size and degree of comfort. Therefore, we started to collect comfortable collection from different stores”. Haicheng Zhang, the Director of footwear retail management of South China of Belle Fashion Group contacted with the reporter of SZPCF. After getting the shoe size list in the morning of March 21^st, he matched the casual shoes in the right size via company’s merchandise management platform and sent the immediate order to transfer from different stores to the headquarter.  

On March 23^rd and 24^th, the love donations from 38 stores in Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Huizhou and Dongguan were successively transferred to the headquarter of Belle Fashion Group. Only one key word “Quick” keeping in my mind, said Zhang, “thinking about these shoes will be sent to the front-line, we feel a strong force driving us to speed up”.

It is reported that SZPCF has been established for over a decade, and its love event "Million Walks for Public Welfare" has raised more than RMB30 million. In order to devote its efforts to protect Shenzhen with epidemic prevention and control, SZPCF has made more than RMB1.6 million monetary donation and RMB1.6 million supplies donation, and carried out a series of caring activities to salute the most beautiful fighters at the front-line.
